WHAT TO EXPECT
We feature a traditional worship service with Christ-honoring music that uplifts and edifies us as believers.
The service will include music, prayer, and a practical message from the Bible. We do take an offering, but that is for the Bethel church family – as a guest you don't have to feel the need to give. You can expect our services to last about 60 - 75 minutes.
We hope and pray you’ll join us this Sunday and Wednesday!
FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We have people that dress up and people that come casual. We want you to be comfortable to come to worship while showing respect for God and others at the same time. The most important thing is that you make it to church to worship the Lord. We will always greet you warmly.
DO I NEED A BIBLE? WHAT VERSION?
At Bethel we teach from the Bible, but don’t worry if you don’t have one. We have Bibles in the pews that you can borrow during the service. If you do have one, go ahead and bring it and follow along. Of course, if you prefer to use a phone or tablet, you can access the Bible through that, too. We prefer to teach from the King James Version (KJV).
WHAT IS YOUR MUSIC LIKE?
Music is an important way to express our love and worship to our Saviour. As a congregation, we sing traditional hymns accompanied by the piano and organ. Our choir presents a call to worship and special music presentation in every Sunday morning worship service. We also are edified through special music presented by individuals or small groups.
DO YOU CELEBRATE COMMUNION? MAY I PARTICIPATE IF I AM NOT A MEMBER?
We normally celebrate the Lord’s Table during our evening service the first Sunday of the Month. At Bethel we celebrate open communion, meaning that everyone who knows the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, and understands that there is no saving merit in taking the elements, may participate.
BAPTISM
We believe that baptism is an outward display of the inward work of God in the life of a follower of Jesus Christ. It is a symbol of salvation, not an act of salvation itself. Because it is a symbol, we believe that only those professing a personal faith in Jesus Christ should be baptized. If you are interested in being baptized, please contact our Pastor, and he will meet with you to discuss the next steps.
MEMBERSHIP
Church membership is an important privilege and responsibility, and we believe it to be biblical and logical. This website is designed to help you get a glimpse into the culture of Bethel. If you would like to pursue membership, please contact our Pastor to discuss the next steps.
MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
At Bethel we believe that the ministry of the church can only succeed when the people of Bethel participate. God created us to use our passions and abilities to display our love for Him and for others and to help other people grow in their relationship with God. We cannot accomplish the mission while we sit on the sidelines. We invite you to join us in accomplishing God's mission. Below are some of the ways to get involved here at Bethel. Feel free to discuss these ministry opportunities with the Pastor, Deacons, or other leaders in the church.
